Powerful Heavy-Duty Truck
If you are a truck driver in search of more power, higher payload, and better towing, then you’ll want to consider the new 2018 Ford Super Duty, which, with its brand new 6.7-liter Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 engine, has just earned recognition as the most powerful heavy-duty pickup ever created.
Reportedly, the new Super Duty has set the bar as the highest in its class in five key areas: horsepower, torque, payload capacity, gooseneck towing, and conventional towing. The new diesel engine manages to produce a whopping 450 horsepower, which is 10 ponies better than 2017, as well as an insane 935 lb-ft of torque. Further, it boasts a max payload capacity of 7,360 pounds. As for towing, the Ford Super Duty can haul 21,000 pounds with a conventional hitch or — and here’s the kicker — 34,000 pounds for gooseneck towing, when properly equipped.
Dave Sullivan, a product analysis manager at AutoPacific, said, “The 2018 Super Duty has brought a bazooka to a knife fight. To take full advantage of the F-450’s capability, you’ll need a commercial driver’s license. This update comes with major bragging rights. You can haul the family and a house behind your truck. No other crew cab model can come close to hauling 17 tons.”
