The SRT Demon is getting added to the Challenger lineup.

New Kid on the Block

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat tore through the muscle car segment and quickly took the number one spot. That model topped the industry with a 707-hp supercharged V8 engine, but that wasn’t quite enough for the automaker. Dodge recently unveiled its two-year project in the making and it’s an impressive specimen that’s headed to the production line. Meet the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

Dodge is known for taking performance to a whole new level. The Challenger SRT Demon burns rubber with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers an astounding 840 hp and 770 lb-ft of torque on high-test gasoline.

That kind of performance and a streamlined, weight-saving design result in a quarter-mile time of just 9.65 seconds on a drag strip. The Challenger SRT Demon is so insanely powerful that any NHRA-sanctioned drag strip will require a roll cage. In fact, Tim Kuniskis, SRT head, received a letter telling him the Demon is banned from the strip without a roll cage.

Now down to the real question: what will this hell spawn cost you? Word has it the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will cost just $84,995 MSRP*, a bargain considering this muscle car nails a 0-to-60 mph time of just 2.3 seconds.

We here at Rudig Jensen are pumped for the thrilling Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to begin production!
