The Ford F-150 Raptor gained momentum among pickup truck fans who like a little bit of recreation and off-roading in their spare time. That was followed by Ford announcing there would also be a Raptor trim in the upcoming Ranger’s lineup, and experts have started speculating on which Ford vehicle will get the Raptor treatment next. It could come from an unusual place following the release of the Ford EcoSport Storm in Brazil.
The Ford EcoSport Storm is based on a concept that debuted at the San Paolo Motor Show three years ago that adds a bit of a sporty, performance-focused edge to the usually practical and comfortable compact. The production model delivers a design that has been conspicuously influenced by the design of the Ford F-150 Raptor, which leads industry experts to believe that it may come to the U.S. rebranded as the EcoSport Raptor.
Some of the features offered on the Ford EcoSport Storm include new 17-inch wheels and an interior that includes black leather seats trimmed with a sporty orange. The EcoSport Storm also comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen that provides passengers access to the latest version of the SYNC® 3 infotainment system. If the Ford EcoSport Raptor debuts stateside, it’s sure to make an impression.
